Imagine the heartache of the mother who is not able to provide her child with something as basic as a pair of pajamas; or the shame of knowing that her child's threadbare coat no longer fits, but must last another winter.  This is why the Baby and Children's Ministry exists.  At the Baby and Children's Ministry, mothers, fathers, grandmothers, and other caregivers have their pride and dignity restored as they "shop" for the items that their children need. 

In 2011, this ministry gave free items to 5,630 children.

The Baby and Children's Ministry is the largest provider of free baby and children's clothing and furniture items in the area, helping families referred by nearly 200 social service and health agencies.  With the exception of diapers and formula, the Baby and Children's Ministry gives away anything dealing with a baby or child, such as clothing, safe cribs, car seats, strollers, toys, books, pajamas, etc.  Most of the items given away have been donated to Harvest House through private individuals and clothing drives.  Through the generosity of individual donors and the proceeds of the Bottles for Babies™ campaign, we are able to purchase extra items such as safe cribs (read more), socks and underwear. This ministry is run by one paid director, Guadalupé Peña.  "Lupé" is assisted by 25 wonderful volunteers.

2/20, 4/7, 5/26, 5/28, 9/1, 9/3, 10/8, 11/22, 11/24, & 12/24-12/31.
