Summer at New Hope Means New Beginnings!
The New Hope Education Center opened this Spring with brand
new classrooms, a new lunchroom, a new student lounge and expanded student
services like our Baby and Children's Ministry, providing students with young
children clothing and supplies.
We offer quality educational programs to people in our
community who are either not working or working at low income jobs. Our
students know they need advanced training to make a good wage.
Our short-term training programs provide the technical
skills required by local employers. In
addition, students acquire the ability to work in teams and show motivation in
their work. Once students have the
knowledge, skills and attitude, they can move from minimum wage jobs to company
jobs. In doing so, they generally double
their earnings and receive fringe benefits.
In addition, the psychological benefits can be enormous! They may even go on to pursue an associate's
or bachelor's degree.
New Hope Education Center is a school catering to adult students. New Hope is unique in that it has various
education providers offering different classes in the same space, at the same
time. Current providers offering classes
are:
Erie Community College (Pre-Collegiate Pathways Program:
Math, Reading & Writing)
Erie2CC Boces (Licensed Practical Nursing, Certified Nursing
Assistant, Personal Care Assistant Programs)
Buffalo Public Schools Adult Education (Medical Office
Occupations, Construction Trades)
SkyView Learning Group (Job Readiness and Placement
Training)
