Imagine the heartache of the mother who is not able to provide her child with something as basic as a pair of pajamas; or the shame of knowing that her child's threadbare coat no longer fits, but must last another winter. This is why the Baby & Children's Ministry exists.
At the Baby & Children's Ministry, mothers, fathers, grandmothers, and other caregivers have their pride and dignity restored as they "shop" (free of charge) for the items that their children need. With the exception of diapers and formula, we give away anything needed for a baby or child, such as clothing, safe cribs (with stationary sides), car seats, strollers, toys, books, pajamas, etc. Most of the items given away have been donated through private individuals, clothing drives, "baby showers," and scouting projects.
Other ways you can help:
Have a "baby shower" & donate the gifts to mothers in need!
NO APPOINTMENTS - Please arrive early enough to allow yourself sufficient time to choose your items, approximately 20 minutes per child. Clients are assisted in order of arrival.
Monday 1pm - 3:30pm
Tuesday 9am - 11:30am
Thursday 1pm - 3:30pm

Clients need to bring a Referral Form with them at their first visit. Referral Forms are available through community agencies or medical offices, including Catholic Charities/WIC and refugee assistance organizations. A new Referral is needed for each additional child not on the original form. All referral slips must be renewed every 3 years. If an agency does not have the referral form, the agency may request it by calling 824-7818. Referral Forms are not available through this website.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS from the former location: The Baby & Children's Ministry is located in the Harvest House Ministry Center at 175 Jefferson Avenue. Generous people who want to donate and are familiar with the former location of the BCM on Seneca Street ask for directions on how to get there from Seneca Street. It is only 2.5 miles away!
Turn right out of the parking lot onto Seneca Street. At the signal near Larkin Square where Seneca Street bears left, stay to the right of the fire station and continue on Swan Street.
Drive under the viaduct. Make the first right turn onto Jefferson Avenue. The Harvest House Ministry Center is 2 blocks on the right, with a large parking lot.
